| urine test needs to be repeated urgently did a urine sample on monday and just recieved a letter from the doctors this morning saying i need to repeat my urine sample urgently. with it being saturday my doctors is closed and i am worried as why i would need to repeat it - if they picked up any infection or anything they would just give me antibiotics, so what could it be? if this as happened to anyone or if anyone as any idea what it might be please let me know as i will be worrying about it all weekend now | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Try not to worry. It probably is just something like a urine infection and maybe there was a problem with the sample so they're not sure and need to check again.
I had the same thing with the first urine sample I gave and had to go for an early dating scan to see what I could take for it.
It's annoying that these things always happen at the weekend though so you have 2 days to sit around and worry! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Yes try not to worry if could be just an infection or they might just need to repeat the test for some reason - i had to have my bloods repeated as the lab messed them up |

I'm Currently Feeling: | It's probably an infection. the doctors did the same to me but i suffer really badly from them anyway and have done for about 2 years and no antibiotics have got rid of it. does it sting when you pee and when you go to the toilet do you feel like you still need to pee when you don't? if so then that's definately what it'll be! my advice if it is the case, drink as much water and cranberry juice as you can! |

| hi, sorry for the late reply been really busy all last week, as my kids have been ill. anyway i got intouch with the doc on the monday and was told by the nurse she wasnt sure why it needed repeating as that was all it said when it came back(?) so i repeated the test and it came back negitive! which i was a bit surprised at as when i handed it in and he nurse did the dip stick she said it showed white blood cells and protien(?) so not sure what all that was about, but i am going to try and not worry about things (yeah right) as much as i have so far spent this whole pregnancy worrying!! | | | | Status: Offline
