When to see your dr. about ms

Hi ladies -

My ms started yesterday and it's making me absolutely miserable. Thank goodness I'm not working because I really don't know how you all do it. I would spend too much time running to the bathroom.

So, basically, I'm sick morning, noon and night and have probably thrown up 12-15 times today and it's only 3:45!

So, I figure this weekend I'll keep track of how many times I visit the bathroom and see if it's worth mentioning it to my dr.

What do you think is a good number?

Give it three days and then go as you'll need rehydrating.
Ah bless, sorry it's getting this bad x

Yeah, haven't eaten much either...just an apple with peanut butter and apparently the pb is not sitting well. Note to self: Never eat pb again while sicky.

Thanks for the replies girls.

This will be long but it's good info. Keep an eye out for the following because dehydration is more dangerous during pregnancy....

The initial signs and symptoms of mild dehydration in adults appear when the body has lost about 2% of it's total fluid. These mild dehydration symptoms are often (but not limited to):

* Thirst
* Loss of Appetite
* Dry Skin
* Skin Flushing
* Dark Colored Urine
* Dry Mouth
* Fatique or Weakness
* Chills
* Head Rushes

If the dehydration is allowed to continue unabated, when the total fluid loss reaches 5% the following effects of dehydration are normally experienced: (definitely see your doctor by this point!)

* Increased heart rate
* Increased respiration
* Decreased sweating
* Decreased urination
* Increased body temperature
* Extreme fatigue
* Muscle cramps
* Headaches
* Nausea
* Tingling of the limbs

When the body reaches 10% fluid loss emergency help is needed IMMEDIATELY! 10% fluid loss and above is often fatal! Symptoms of severe dehydration include:

* Muscle spasms
* Vomiting
* Racing pulse
* Shriveled skin
* Dim vision
* Painful urination
* Confusion
* Difficulty breathing
* Seizures
* Chest and Abdominal pain
* Unconciousness

What she said ^^^^ and plus there is something called hyperemesis (spelling) where you are constantly sick. You do need to talk to your doc.

I would call my dr right away if I was that sick. They do have a pill they can give you if are too sick that is safe for your bean. I hope this doesn't last too long for you!

I take a pill called Zofran that my doc gave me and it is tiny, just dissolves on your tongue and really controls nausea and vomiting...it's worth asking your OB about
