I have the results of my scan (letter just come in the post today)

Can someone translate?

It might seem personal for me only but I have been on google and not really sure of what it all means.

"The uterus contains a single gestation sac. Three yolk sacs and fetal poles are seen. Fetal heart pulsations noted. CRL of all three fetuses is 5mm = 6/40 No dividing membrane is seen. The appearances are of a monochorionic monoamniotic triplet pregnancy. Both ovaries are normal. No adnexal masses seen. There is a small amount of free fluid in the POD."

Right dont know about the triplet bit but the babies are 5mm long at the age of 6 weeks pregnant. No cysts or anything detected on your ovaries

Same gestational sac means they are identical. They will all be the same sex.

monochorionic monoamniotic (or MoMo) means the babies are sharing one amniotic sac hunny, which is a rare thing and can cause a little more stress which might mean you have to be closely monitored. Have they given you anymore information? I could be totally wrong, but they are terrible to not explain to you properly.

EDIT - This doesn't mean panic! By any means - you are just one very special mummy

yeh mono and mono is quite dangerous as their cords can tangle and they are at risk of ttts. however as u are early on pregnant they just might not be able to see the dividing membrane. as the weeks pass it can become visible so i wouldnt stress. they will prob just scan you loads. best of luck.
