Red face

List Of Silly Worries.

Hi All,

I just had to share some of the silly thoughts that pop into my head when I'm pregnant, in the hope that I'll find I'm not that weird really !!!

Also, add your own, and maybe we'll all worry a teeny tiny bit less

1 : If I sneeze/cough too hard, I'm gonna push Bean out.

2 : If I strain too much on the loo, I'll push Bean out ( I know TMI ).

3 : If I carry on wearing my normal trousers for too long, Bean won't grow properly.

4 : If we have sex now, I'm gonna prod the Bean.

5 : If the dog jumps up at me, she's gonna hurt Bean.

6 : If I lean too hard against the sink whilst washing up, I'll hurt Bean...

I did warn you that they were silly worries.......

My DH is concerned that:

1) laying on my stomach will squish the baby
2) that when one of my cats lays on my stomach she is squishing the baby
and
3) that when I press hard on my stomach that I am squishing the baby

I bet you can see a pattern here

Yay, I'm not the only one!!!

Mine are quite bad

If I don't cross my fingers whilst having a wee Beano will come out (my superstitious mind )

If I sit at an angle I'll hurt Beano

If I use my doppler too much I'll hurt Beano

If I go over a big bump in the road, it'll dislodge Beano

If I pick up anything thats heavier than a feather, I'll hurt Beano

I'm going to stop now before I drive you all mad

I worried that

- I would hurt baby laying on my belly or turning over and squishing my bump on the bed.
- I could hurt baby with sex.
- Poking my bump would hurt him.
- Like you Ann Marie, pushing too hard on the toilet, he might fall out!

Even though I know it isn't possible I still worried and the toilet thing I still worry about even though he's too big to just "fall out".

Me too!!! I refuse to buy any maternity stuff or tell anyone until my scan next week even though I had a scan last week and all was fine.

Goin over a bump in the car is one of mine too !!!!!
I actually laughed out loud reading these ( except the genuine worries ).
Brought some much needed lightness to the whole situation.

All of these are too cute

I don't have these worries but have to ask...Since you found out you were pregnant, do your hands automatically now hold your tummy?

I was thinking about it last night how often I now hold my tummy.

Yes they do although until I have a proper bump I've decided not to hold it infront of anyone else so I just randomly do it when I'm in bed or when I'm in the bath.

This is a great thread!!! I know I shouldn't laugh but it just sounded so funny!

If only you knew how secure your little ones were, you would want to buy it to protect you in your own houses!
