finally heard baby's heart beat after a week of trying!

I was getting very fed up with my doppler this last week cos all I could hear was my own heart beat. Anyway I found it today. i had been folowing others advice about finding it; really low down, just above pelvic bone. I think I maybe took this too far and would only look really close in. But today I thought I would try other areas and I found the baby's heart beat actually higher up. More in my lower stomach!, but still low down. I am just so relieved I found it. It really does sound like a galloping horse, and can be quite faint.

so that I finally found it.

I've been warned about this sort of thing, so I haven't even bothered getting a doppler. You can drive yourself crazy thinking something has happened; only to find that the baby has been sitting in an awkward position, making it hard to detect a HB. try not to let it get to you when you don't hear it, but I'm glad you got there eventually!
