congrats on ur bfp. i am 4+2wks pregnant and rang docs yday for an appointment to confirm my pregnancy, as i have done with my 3 previous pregnancies, only this time i was told by the receptionist i didnt need to see a doctor, i just get booked in to c the mw wen im 10wks. to be honest im horrified 6 wks is a long way off and im 34 1/2 so age not on my side, i was under the impression that if it was ur first pregnancy or you were older u had more check ups right from the start. guess il just av to sit tight for another 6 weeks.
