oops I had 2 ibuprofen today

I had 2 ibuprofen tablets today, before I realised I wasn't meant to take them in pregnancy

Is 2 likely to do any harm?

No worries.. I took 2 of them today and I KNEW better. BUT I did research it first and found that an occasional regular dose is OK, it's regular use that is a problem. And you really have to stay away from it in 3rd tri because it can cause excess bleeding when you go into labor. I finally took them because I've had a headache for 2 days straight and couldn't bear it any longer. I'm not worried at all though!

Yeah, I've heard that too. I took a big fat 800mg ibuprofin just before I knew I was pregnant, as I had major cramps that night (think maybe it was implantation cramping or something, dunno).. anyway, I was worried too but looked it up and was relieved to find it's fine occasionally, avoid in third trimester, as honeygrl said.

Probably not, unless baby is not developing well in the first place. But you should really watch which medicine you take and only take Tylenol. If there is a problem that you don't know about, the medicine can make it worse.

i had to take some ibuprofen the other day as i ahd a migraine, but i researched it first, its ok to take occasionally, and mixed with paracetamol it does a better job x x

I've got to start taking tylenol with codeine again today. I have a toothache so bad I can't sleep or function really and the work that needs to be done is something the dentist flat out refuses to do while I'm pregnant because they refuses to put a pregnant lady to sleep. My doctor even offered to write them a letter telling them it was OK and necessary but they still said "I don't care who writes a letter, we are NOT putting a pregnant lady to sleep!" No one else takes my insurance here so I'm stuck with it for now. I hate dentists *a lot*. I think this proves my theory that they go into dentistry because they like to see people in pain.
