i have only just found out i'm expecting again but already having heartburn when i had my second pregnancy it was really really bad and i am dreading it again just wondering if anybody has it too and what works for them because nothing seems to work for me, thanks

Oh no how horrible. I only tend to get it from about 20 weeks + and nothing seemed to work really. I couldnt take gaviscon as it made me sick, the hearburn tablets didn't really work, apart from the odd zantac tablet, which i wasn't sure if i could take but still did.

I hope you get some relief soon. Maybe go to the chemist and see what they recommend. I'm dreading getting it this time!

i just drink loads of milk i have had with all my pregnancy and its startd creepin up again on this 1 i cannot stand gavascone (yuk) so it will b milk n rennies for me

Omg, I have bad heartburn. It started around 10weeks and I still have it now. I have drank milk but it doesn't always help

I'm suffering with it sooooo much at the moment hun!
I'm guzzling Gaviscon like it's goin out of fashion but i'm going to have to ask MW/Doc if they can give me anything stronger as it only help for a while then comes back

I know its only gonna get worse which is the scary thing!

I don't have that bad of heartburn yet, however, my sister had it really bad. She said the only thing that worked for her, was drinking a glass of milk. Even that would only help for a few hours, so she'd have to drink some more. She'd even get up in the middle of the night and have to drink some.

I asked my Dr. about this at my last visit and she said Zantek was perfectly ok. It works for me.

it's horrible having it mine starts straight away before i find out thats how i knew i was pregnant this month before i took the test, i remember with my second pregnancy having to get up in the middle of the night to collect all the cushions from my sofa just to prop myself up, i tried the milk thing but as you said only lasts a few minutes, it's the only thing i don't like about being pregnant !!!!! if i find anything that works i will let you all know xxx

Constant heartburn was what made me do a test, I never get it but I've had it for over a week and it's getting worse! If I am only 3+3 imagine how bad it is going to get! I'll let you know if I find a remedy! xx
