I'm Currently Feeling: | couple of questions!... Havent asked a question in a while! lol!
But i got a call from my nurse today asking me to come in for a scan next week, when i'll be 8 weeks. Is that normal?? They did say they wanted to keep an eye on me in the early months, so is it just that??
Also, my usual would have been due on the 27th, and i got a few of the feelings i always get before i come on,but not pain or anything, so i stuck it out cos i was worried it was a miscarraige, but nothing happened. Was just wondering if anyone else got this in the early months at around the time their was due? is it just my body changing and adapting??
Also, i went to the hospital yesterday cos i had a few pains. But everything was fine. I had to get my mum to take me as OH is away working! And she didnt know i was pregnant, i was so scared about telling her, but she was so happy!! and now it feels so great she knows!! Although she doesnt want to be called granny, she doesnt think shes old enough!! BIG weight off my shoulders!!!
Thank you in advance!

I'm Currently Feeling: | They would tell you if they thought there was a problem, so if they say its just to keep an eye on you then thats probably why! i think from a previous post you said you have had a previous MC? its maybe because of that, they just want to keep an eye on you, i wouldn't worry x
As for telling your mum, glad you feel better, i waited 8 weeks before telling my mum and it was such a big relief for all my family and friends to know when i did tell them! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think it's probably fine. I live in Canada so things are a bit different here, but if your Doctor was worried about anything she would have told you. It's probably like she said, she just wants to keep an eye on the pregnancy. At least you get to see your LO!
I have heard that in the first trimester women do get cramps, and some even light spotting, around the time AF is normally do. Completely normal and nothing to worry about unless the cramping gets to severe or is accompanied by heavy bleeding |

I'm Currently Feeling: | That is probably the reason she wants you to go in for the early scan. I didn't have a scan done that early so I'm not sure what the LO should look like, but you can always ask the tech questions. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi mummy watts,
They would def want to keep a closer eye on you if u have had a recent mc. It is perfectly normal to have show like symptoms and to feel a lil crampy due to the changes in your body, however if you feel 'pain' you should contact your midwife. i am sure youll b absolutely fine as you already been to the hosp. Good luck with the preg, and scan. I am sure you will feel much more relaxed after . xxxx | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Period pains, cramping and general aches and pains are all part and parcel of pregnancy, everyone goes thru them. The time you worry is when the pains are unbareable/extremely uncomfy and you have bleeding too, then you contact your GP straight away. x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I wouldn't worry too much hun. If you've had a previous miscarriage then I guess it's quite likely they just want to check up on everything and make sure it's all ok. The first scan I had was at 12 weeks but I didn't know how far I was along and I'd spent quite a lot of time trying to decide what I was going to do so kept putting off going to the doctors. In the end I fell down some stairs and was rushed to hospital but luckily both me and baby were 100% ok (apart from some stitches in my forehead! VERY unattractive ones!! lol) Glad everything went ok with ur mum! I had a similiar experience.
Let us know how the scan goes
