i had my booking appointment yesterday. All it was for was to do paperwork (setting up my pregnancy notes) and blood works. They also asked for a urine sample. That was literally it. Here's my update thread for more info...

As you are not sure of your dates, they will probably give you an early scan, at around 8-9 weeks to get an idea of your dates, otherwise you usually have scans at 12 and 20 weeks!
I think the others have answered your question pretty well. The first appointment is mostly paperwork and them telling you what to do what not to do etc. Since you are unsure of your dates, like Tam said they will probably send you for an early scan!

Like me, they only want to see me at 12 weeks 3 days pregnant. I don't think they realise how hard it is to wait that long! But they said that the Midwife could only see me then so I don't even get to do the paperwork or anything till that day. After my first appointment will they get more frequent? I have no idea about Midwife appointments .
