I'm Currently Feeling: | My 1st Appointment with the midwife Hi guys I had my 1st Appointment with the midwife today she was lovely which makes the whole experience so much nicer so far im doing ok and she said the brown blood ive been having was nothing to worry about. I didnt realise so many decsions had to be made so early on which hospital do i want to go to or home birth which test would i like to have done the list goes on and on. well i didnt make to many desions without discussing it with said hubby i want him to be a major part of it and be included. what i would like advice on is everyone opting for all the tests on your blood??( I cant see why i wouldnt want the tests doing there not harming the baby but i just couldnt decide)
take care all luv heather |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I am glad your appointment went well! Bloods are not a normal run of the mill thing over here, so I never had them. x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My midwife said she would do all the blood tests at my 16wk appointment. I'm going to go for everything except the triple test, which is the one for Downs Syndrome and Spina Bifida, as I'm having an ultrasound with combined blood test for Downs Syndrome tonight and I've read that having two tests may be confusing, as the results may differ slightly. I will have a separate Spina Bifida test though! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Glad your appointment went well. I did have some blood tests run for several things, glucose levels, blood typing, check my HCG levels etc. but I turned down the blood screening for the downs syndrome testing. |
