I cant believe how callous that midwife was!! Worrying you like that you should make a formal complaint that is very unnecesary stress for her to put you under! Im so glad to hear everythings ok and hope the rest of your pregnancy is stress free happy and healthy!

If it were me, I certainly wouldn't be seeing midwife #1 again, that woman put you through horrendous torment - she should be ashamed of herself

I'm in a program with 8 midwives. You can try to see all of them, or just a few. So I can definitely avoid seeing the midwife I talked to that night. The woman I talked to today was so much more reassuring. She told me in advance I might not be able to hear the heartbeat and even that didn't necessarily mean anything. She said before even checking me out that I was probably fine.
