| Does anyone else think £600 - £800 is a bit steep for a pram?! ** update last page ** Hi Ladies,
Well since ive got my BFP, i have been adding some items to my favourites and Ive been looking at prams lately. I have found one that I really like and I dont think its designer or anything but its what I like http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/...__80014_10001_
I noticed that some of the other ones are going right up to like £800 at Mamas & Papas, my immediate thought was that this is daylight robbery or is it that the norm, I dont know as this is my first baby. Some of the popular prams, seem to have a big price tag but are ugly as hell and I feel like how I do when I go into a mobile phone shop, big price tags but not neccessarily any better than one with a cheaper price tag.
Anyone else shocked by pram prices or am I in the minority? I didnt want to spend any more than £300 at a push on a pram and that still seems a lot. We still have to get the nursery all kitted out as well
p.s I posted this in second trimester my mistake

| I agree, some are way too over-priced. I think its unfair as they can almost charge what they like as people want the best for their babies and most people think the higher the price the better the quality which is not always true. | | | | Status: Offline

| What are overpriced to some, are cheap to others. I think the range is wide enough out there to keep everyone happy, as well as the second hand market. Personally I can understand why someone would spend £600-800 on something they will use every single day for a couple of years or more. When you look at it that way using a £600 pram for 3 years means you pay about 50p a day. | | | | Status: Offline

| yep alot are overpriced i think, 5 yrs ago i spent about 450 on a travel system from mamas and papas and regretted it, we used it only for 6 months cos it was way too big and ended up buying a buggy (which sophie prefered being in anyway) for 35 quid. Ive started looking at prams already as i have learnt my mistakes from last time and want to make sure i get the right thing for a decent price, we cant really afford to be spending over 300 this time around (tho no doubt we will unless i go on ebay :P).
I agree some of the top range ones dont look so nice either, some look like spaceships! lol
I think im gonna drive mark mad with this pram searching...may have to take my mum instead :P | | | | Status: Offline
