The buzz carrycot is all padded and fleece lined and looks so snug

Also, you can def tell when you're pushing a cheaper pram. I was pushing my friends pram the other day and the suspension was horrible on it, the handle bar didn't adjust or anything. Also it was hard to manouver and you had to lift the pram to turn it round IYKWIM? Even simple things like the sound of the wheels on the ground was different.

600 is insane for any baby item! That adds up to over 900 US dollars!! I paid $60 USD (that's £36) for my son's and daughters strollers and only $100 USD (£61) for their cribs. The baby is going to ruin it anyway (most likely by peeing, pooping, and smushing food in it) so spending a bunch of money on it is just pouring money down the drain.

Why is it insane if you can afford it, and have that disposable income available? A friend of mine spend £4,000 on her nursery. No, it's not something I would do but I wouldn't automatically say she was nuts for doing it. It's her money, and if she can afford it then why not? What better thing to spend your money on, than your child?

Babies also don't tend to ruin things through use. Things like prams, highchairs, etc are made with heavy duty wipe clean material to avoid it being ruined. Maybe the cheaper brands aren't as hard wearing or something.

Oh and the $60 stroller had a carseat/carrier attachment that popped on and off to make it super easy to get around with baby. I added an extra layer under the lining of foam for a little more comfort and both of my kids would fall asleep in them as soon as their bottom touched it. $900 is more than my mortgage costs every month.
