Elastic to attach to trouser buttons - what is it called?

I'm coming up for 8 weeks pregnant and my trousers are too tight; it makes it difficult for me to breathe or move well, so I need something to extend them as I am not going into maternity clobber yet.

What are those things called that you can buy to attach to the loop and button of your trousers so you can keep the button undone?

Try using a hairband. I'm having the same problem, my normal trousers feel tight, yet a size bigger is too big. My stomach is so bloated.

I'm gonna try a hairband @ work next week

I have always just used a hair band.. attach 1 end to the button, string it through the button hole and attach the other end back to the button. With a hairband you can get different colors so it matches your outfit in case it peeks out at all.

I just used a hairband or an elastic band! Eventually I bought the bump bands when the elastic wasn't working well anymore! x
