I'm still worried about my cramps :(

Hey all, I'm new to these boards. previously on twoweekwait and decided it was time to move up.

I'm 6 weeks 2 days. I've been cramping since I got my BFP at 12DPO. I know they're normal even the doctor says so but they just feel so scary I keep thinking I'm going to run to the bathroom and see blood. I haven't at all yet but i must say they're not light cramps. It's not specific to a side it's mostly right in the middle. Just so worrisome!

Better get use to aches, pains and cramps if you are going to make it through pregnancy with your sanity. Once the crampiness goes away, you'll get ligament pains. They are sharp abdominal pains that will stop you in your tracks. Then when those go away you get lower back aches from the extra weight. That won't go away until your baby starts walking since you'll be carrying him or her until then. Sometime at the middle or end of the 2nd tri comes the braxton hicks contractions. They can get pretty painful and are mistaken all the time by first time (and even 2nd or 3d time) moms for preterm labor. Around that time as well the baby will start getting strong enough to actually hurt you when they kick. I had bruised ribs from my son.

I honestly think that if they taught teens what pregnancy is REALLY like we would have way less teen mothers. They never tell you that stuff though in sex ed.

I was in the SAME boat!! I had cramps all the way up to 14-15 weeks. Your body is stretching sooo much. However, if they get really really bad go in and see someone. I went in and I ended up having a giant cyst that was causing my pain and they removed it. I still cramped but it was from the stretching. But light to moderate cramping is normal

Hi there,

I've had cramps on and off since my BFP and honestly although they have got better and less like AF pains, they are still there. I have kinda got used to them now.

Nicola xx
