First scan

Hi,

I had my first scan on Tuesday & it all went well.. Saw the little baby, & it jumped up a few times whilst doing the scan.. so cute
I was showing the scan pic to a colleague now who was ahhing over it but mentioned the head looked a little big??

Could this be a problem?? wouldnt the sonographer picked up on this??
Am I worrying over nothing...

hun i wouldnt worry unless the sonographer said something to you
its not very easy to read sonograms and even regular doctors cant do it
so unless its a professional i wouldnt give it a second thought

No sonographer said everything was perfect & that the baby was normal & healthy.
I just get worried very easily & the comment got me thinking.

I had my scan on tuesday too and Mark said the head looked big. The sonogropher had put notes in the pack and they said the body and vrain growth was normal. I was reading in my pregnancy book that the brain grows out of proportion and at a greater rate to the body so I'm sure its perfectly normal. I wouldn't worry, they'd tell you if there was a problem

Ok thanks.
Yes my notes said everything was normal too, so I guess I shouldn't worry.

Yes, the head is extremely disproportionate to the body until later on. I think twice the size or something. My scan with my little girl was the same, someone made a comment that her nose looked massive, and I had terrible dreams about this up until birth! Needless to say shes perfect. People are so stupid! Don't give this another thought!

xx
