I baught one and it came when i was 13wks
nurse tried for h/b at 11+12wks and cudnt find it
i found myself after an hour and half of searching when i was 13+4
so if you do decide to buy dont be disaapointed if you cant get it
or you cud be one of the lucky ones and pick it up striaght away

the doppler for me has been a fantastic reassurance
i wouldnt be without with... id deffo recommed one

I have the angelsounds doppler and I found the heartbeat at 10 weeks + 4. The reassurance from it was well worth the money x

I got the angelsounds and found the heartbeat at 9+1. Which is very early, but I'm also very skinny. I found it very reassuring and so had no worries going in to have my 12 week scan that everything was good with my baby. I usually 'check in' about twice a week. I'm hoping to use it to hear the baby moving soon as well.

I have the Hi Bebe BT200 with lcd display so it also says what the heart rate is each time. It's been fantastic, and I picked up little one 6 weeks before my midwife did! lol

I personally think they are a waste. I had one with my first pregnancy and could only find the heart beat sometimes. Most are not as high quality as the Doctor's, so it will be a lot harder to find the heartbeat. I don't know any Midwives who suggest home use for dopplers, because they are doing research that suggests long term and short term effects to the baby. I personally would use a fetoscope. A fetoscope is cheaper (you can buy one for under $30), they don't do any damage to the baby (no sound waves going into the womb), don't require gel, and will probably last longer.
