It was horrible for me as i was one of these women who had infections all the way through no matter what i did, i washed about ten times a day i used wipes whenever i went to the toilet instead of tissue i showered twice a day...i tried everything.

I will however warn you...i went to the midwife one week and i had no infection the next day at the hospital i had an infection and had to have tablets, one week the docs told me i was fine the next day i wasnt...it was like that every week for my last trimester, i even had to stay in hospital over night for unnecessary treatment, they said i had a suspected infection and gave me stronger pills and the next day i was told by the 24 hour wee collection sample that i DIDNT have an infection. In the end i ignored them and just carried on what i was doing cause i think the drugs were causing more damage than the infection...or no infection whichever the case may be.

Well thanks ladies. I feel better that im not the only one. I have 3 more days of my treatment then i will be seeing my Gyno on Sept 9th for my 12 week scan. They told me i needed to take care of it though for risk of preterm labor ect. I just want my baby to be ok

I took bee pollen for this once and it cleared it right up. Would imagine its safer than any big pharma stuff during pregnancy xx

i was diagnosed with it at 5 weeks BUT i had no symptoms of it and after spending along time on internet and chatting with doctor and midwife we decided its best that i didnt take any medication for it unless i started to get symptoms, coz it comes and goes in all women, they say takin the medication has some risks but then not taking it also does. i feel happy with decsion i made, and believe i had a very mild case of it xxx

I had this at about 5/6 weeks and was prescribed Metronidazole tablets, I checked with the doctor, chemist and nhs direct and they all said the tablets were safe to take. I wouldn't worry too much about it.x.

Can I ask what your symptoms were? TMI coming, I've had increased cm since getting pg, but this week it's been heavier and darker in colour and I also feel a bit itchy and uncomfortable down stairs, I also think it has an odour although Hubby says he doesn't think it does. I was thinking it might be thrush, but could it be this instead? I guess I should see the doctor?
