I'm pregnant! Bit worried about my CB digital test result though... :(

Well I got my first BFP yesterday and my first day of last period was 22nd July 2009.
So, this would date me at 5weeks2days right? Well I've just took a CB digital test and it does say pregnant but conception indicator says 1-2 meaning I'm dated at 3-4 weeks? This is wrong surely? Anybody else had misleading results? I could do with some words of comfort as I had a miscarriage in April and the first indication of something going wrong was these tests not moving from 2-3.

Ugh.. I hate them digitals. I've heard so many bad reports on them causing women unecessary stress. They state that they're reliable but they're not! Some women have gotten a 3+ weeks result.. only to test the same day and get a 1-2!.... it all depends on what time of day, how diluted your urine is, what you drank that day, night before etc. I'd totally ignore the result and go by your lmp dates. I'm staying clear of the digi's even tho I was tempted to see if the indicator had moved up for me the past few weeks. But after reading everyone's horror stories of worrying (like yourself), when there was nothing to worry about.. I've decided against it.

Congrats on your pregnancy by the way! .. and don't worry. xx

My midwife said to stay AWAY from CB digis!

She said all they ever hear is dodgy results from a digi. "A + is a + she said"

I wont be using them next time Im preggers. All I kept getting from them was a 3+....and I was 3 weeks into a missed miscarriage so that reading is nothing to go by! THey are not accurate. Please dont worry, it doesnt help. THe only thing that can be accurate is the bloods you get at the GP. Speak to your midwife of EPAU if you are really worried.

Hope that helps, stop worrying.

They are terrible. I got a 'not pregnant' with these tests. Luckily I had a FRER to do too, which was a BFP! Was 5 weeks preg! Don't rely on them.

definitely agree with all of the above - some girls on here have HCG of 9,000 at 5 weeks while others have 4,000 both are fine and it doesnt mean anything is wrong but you can see how the conception ondicators will get confused!!

I used CB digis with mixed feelings. ALL pregnancy tests are affected by how much water you drink etc so you can get mixed results.

The conception date is different to the last date and I actually found the CB one was closer to how far along I was when I had my early scan...so it said 1-2 weeks but on the normal way I would have been 4/5 weeks..when I when for my scan a couple of weeks later they put me a 5 weeks.

It's hit and miss but definitely nothing to stress about. Work by the standard way of dating until you have had a scan to confirm otherwise..

BTW congratulations on your future arrival!

xx
