Having a bit of a freak out day!

Well my PMA is failing me today and I must admit I'm freaking out a bit. I think it's because I've read a few peoples threads about bad news at their 12 week scan. I still have 6 weeks to wait until my first scan and I'm so worried that there either won't be a baby there or they'll be something wrong! I know I should remain positive but just finding it hard today. I've even suggested to hubby that we go for a private scan just to put my mind at rest. It's baby #1 and I'm so frightened.
Does anybody else feel frightened like this sometimes?

All the time!!! I am so scared too!! I am thankful that I at least get a somewhat early u/s (its today!!!)..Last time though I had at least 2 u/s by now, so I am beyond freaking at this point!!! I know it's a hard wait, but just have to keep your faith that all is well!!!

yep im sure we all do at some point, its completely normal. Dont apologise thats what we are all here for - support and advice! Some days im convinced something bads gonna happen, and other days i feel quite the opposite - throw in all the pregnancy emotions too so no wonder we are like this lol

Yes I freak out a lot. Im ok today, think its because I have been hit by tiredness the last few hours.
I love this website, but like any other on pregnancy, there is a downside to sharing the journey with so many other women. We do have to witness what can go wrong and it makes us more fearful.
I just keep telling myself that everything is ok. I dont know that it is of course, but its better to think that way!!

Thanks guys - normally I can manage to keep positive and I'm just struggling today for some reason. Probably tired/hormonal all those things. You've made me feel a bit better so thanks very much. I love you guys!

I feel like I could have written that myself. I feel the exact same way. I've read too many stories and they have completely freaked me out. I was looking at private scans yesterday and I've asked my OH if he would mind going for a private scan just to put my mind at rest.

Thanks bump#1! I feel like there's just been alot of bad news on here the last couple of days. I guess it's all part of the journey. HOpefully some good news soon. I'm gonna discuss private scan with hubby and see what he thinks. They're quite alot though around this area ~£100. I've seen some ladies get them for £50. Whereabouts are you living did you find a good price one?

I agree babydancer. I've been reading a lot of bad stories on here also and keep thinking 'yep, I'm gonna be next!'. I've been feeling good the past 2 days, and panicking because of that! Altho my tiredness is still here and I've not long woken up from an afternoon nap! I'm gonna wait till I hear off my midwife for my booking in app.. and if it's gonna be ages till a scan, then I'm gonna go private.
