I know how you feel especially after having a MMC earlier this year. However can I just say to all you ladies thinking of booking early scans, if you have it too early there is still a chance something could happen. I had a MMC and had a scan the week before, it showed a slow heartbeat and the next weeks wait was more agonising than anything Im experiencing this time round. However hard the wait is Im waiting until 12 weeks this time when hopefully by then, everything will be established and the chances of anything still happening a lot slimmer. I dont mean to make anyone feel worse I just sometimes think early scans can not always help.

Minichicky - sorry for your loss. I'll be 7 weeks next week though so I should be able to see a heart beat - that's all I need!

Whereabouts are you living did you find a good price one?
I agree babydancer. I've been reading a lot of bad stories on here also and keep thinking 'yep, I'm gonna be next!'. I've been feeling good the past 2 days, and panicking because of that! Altho my tiredness is still here and I've not long woken up from an afternoon nap! I'm gonna wait till I hear off my midwife for my booking in app.. and if it's gonna be ages till a scan, then I'm gonna go private.
Thanks Honey!

Don't worry, you're not alone
I agree. I think the problem is, reading too much. A month ago I wouldn't even have been worrying about blown ovums, or mms, or any other horror (but very real) stories. Even reading peoples symptoms and then wondering why the hell I haven't got them...or why I have something that someone else doesn't. It all causes stress yet we tell each other to not worry lol

We look here for advice, which we of course get a multiple of times over, but we also perhaps read something that often has the opposite effect. It sends me into a nervous frenzy.

From here on, I'm going to pray, keep me fingers and toes and everyone else's crossed, and look forward to my developing pregnancy.

This is our first baby and as much as everyone else, this baby is SO so wanted, but at the end of the day, what will be will be. Have faith in that. Whether we go for a scan every week does not ensure that something won't go wrong on on of the other days.

Anyway, this is my way of thinking. This is what has got my friend through the last 8 months of her pregnancy. She is STILL worried too!!

I'm sending everyone HEAPS of PMA...and for myself and bean too!!!

Take care ladies

Nicola xx

I'm in Manchester. from what I've found the average from price ranges from £75 - £85.

Are you in the London region? £100 would seem about right for London.

I couldn't agree more with what you've said. I was speaking to my OH's mum the other day about whether to tell people before the 12wk mark. She simply said 'If it happens, it's natures way of telling you it's not your time. And if it happens, it will happen regardless of whether you tell people or not'

Great advice that I think can stem to myself and others who worry about their symptoms or lack of.

Anyway, like Nicola i'm sending my love to all you ladies and your little beans. x
