What sort of additional things have you been advised to have as an "older!!" mum?
I'm not even sure how far along I am but as we've only BD'd twice since my miscarriage it must be between 4.5 and 5.5 weeks!! I want to have the nucal fold scan and I understand you need to be done at the right time for it to be worthwhile - anyone know anything about it?
Sorry for all the questions!!

Hi Tasha,
I don't know much but i can run by you what I know so far... Im having a counselling session first (before my booking appmt) where I guess the different (test)options available to us etc. will be discussed inlcuding a dating scan where i assume they'll do the measurements to check the fluid behind the baby's head (down syndrome). I will also have my blood checked (usually done 15-18 weeks it says in the papers from the hospital, but i wouldnt be surprised if they do it earlier seeing as im 'older'

-this test is something they do for every expectant mother -checking for 2 pregnancy hormones and their levels... you might already know about this.. i dont know.. anyway, depending on the outcome of these tests I will be offered amnio w/ a new test which takes only a few days for any answers. I am pretty sure you can request an amnio as well, in case you want that peace of mind.
Hopefully all will be well and i'll have nothing to worry about- God knows i worry enough already
If im given any more info i'll share it with all of you, of course

I have the first appmt 15th Feb....
