Ok so Im 22 years old and me and my fiance are preggo (duh) lol well Im so sick of hearing what everyone has to say about it. Its not their life its ours. At first I was only telling people who I knew for sure would support me like my grandma and a ouple of friends. Well now his grandma found out (she pretty much raised him) and I love her I do I just dont want to her the negative things she has to say. Im excited and so is he. We wanted this. Also with my mom Im scared to tell her but I think she will support me. I just dont feel like hearing the negative things that people have to say and since Im so hormonal its worse I cry at the drop of a hat and get depressed real easily. I dont know what to do. DF just says that people are going to talk ignore it. Well its hard when your preggo and you have all these hormones running through you ughhh. Well thanks for reading my vent.

If you're not ready to tell anyone, don't... You're right, it's your life, and if waiting a little means saving your emotions, than do it. Maybe you wont be so sensitive later on and it'll be easier for you. Good luck.

I was going to wait but the already found out. so ya now Im stuck with them knowning I havent been to see his grandma yet she called him on the phone and asked about she said she was hurt that we didnt tell her first and she found out cuz I have it on my myspace and someone called her and she found out that way. so ya Im scared to face her cuz of what she is going to say and I know Im prob going to break down crying. and i hate crying in front of people.

Shame. I haven't told anyone yet either. Ok with the exception of a few friends here and there. We had to. They kept offering me wine!

I hope that things turn out with the grandma! I'm sure she'll be alot more positive towards it once you speak to her. I notice that people are mostly positive towards a pregnancy.

Enjoy your pregnancy *sighs* it goes so fast.. at first, as for people being negative ignore them, as long as you nad your OH are happy then it doesn't matter what anyone else says

I was very angry when I went to see my Dad this Christmas (he's an alcoholic and not all there most of the time) & he took my OH in the kitchen for a chat, where he asked him if it was planned & how he felt about it. That got me seriously F'ed off I'm engaged to my OH and it's not like I'm a kid anymore.

Don't get down with what people have to say - if you and OH are happy that is all that matters. It is no-one else's business but yours. They say that during pregnancy, everyone (you parents, the neighbours, the old woman at the bus stop...) has an opinion on your pregnancy and how you should bring up your children! It's just a matter of taking the advice on board that you find useful and politely ignoring the rest!

I still havn't told my grandparents. OH grandparents are fine with it but he's 24. I'm 18, and I'm going to get grief. I'm happy about my pregnancy and I don't want their opinions to ruin it.
