thrush

I've got bloody thrush again!

Im doing the usual not using harsh shop, cotton undies and loose trousers.
I did use canesten at the weekend, does anyone has any idea if this would be harmful?

Maybe I should ask the pharmasist

Canesten is ok when you use it as the cream form or the pessary form.
The oral tablet should not be taken when pregnant though.

Best thing I would suggest is getting something from the GP (and it will be free under prescription too)

I asked my dr about this becasue I get it from time to time as well and she said to use monistat (or canesten I'm sure is fine) but to use the cream form and only insert about half way up. The pill (flucanazol or diflucan) is a no no.

I get thrush in my mouth as well becasue I use a steriod inhaler and from the day after I found out I was pregnant until now I have had and have not been able to shake it although i have been using the oral rinse for it religiously.

I think it has something to do with the fact your immune system changes and isn't as capable of keeping everything in check. such an uncomfortable and annoying symptom!
