A little worried!!

Hi,

I am getting a bit worried, I was reading in a magazine at the weekend that a woman went for her dating scan at 13 weeks and it turned out the baby died at 8 weeks and she didn’t know.

Do you defo have bleeding and pains if you have a miscarriage?

Basically I am worried incase I go fro my scan (7th September) and I have lost the baby and not realised

xxx

I had a tiny amount of spotting but no bleeding before my fourth miscarriage which I lost at 10 weeks but baby only lived to 6 weeks so it is really hard to tell
I know that's prob not what you want to hear but often a scan is the only way to tell- you have a high chance that everything will be ok though hon so dont worry too much- and remember worry is bad for the baby!!!!
good lukc xx

I'm so glad that someone else on here is having the same worries as me!! I thought I was going crazy! Even my partner thinks I'm mad!

I'm almost 10 weeks and even though I've not been bleeding of had any cramps, I'm scared that something is wrong and I just don't know about it!

I keep reading horror stories about no heartbeats and I'm convinced that something like that is going to happen to me!

Scan is on 18th August, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for another couple of weeks!

there is a very small amount of women who lose their baby but have no symptoms and dont find out until they have their scan. BUT it is a very small number, although i think it is every womans worst nightmare

If you have seen the heartbeat, then the odds are VERY much on your side. Once you have seen the heartbeat, the risk of miscarriage decreases a lot.

Im sure you will be fine, i have my scan on 12 august!

Good luck xxx

Its so sad that this can happen thats why i dread scans too, unfortunatly you dont always have bleeding and pain with mc i Had what they call a missed miscarriage a few months back...I was in shock i didnt even know there was such a thing. I always assumed if you miscarry you bleed have pain etc. Youv seen the hb though which is ace So many things can go wrong in pregnancy we just have to take each day as it comes and hope for the best

No, i had a missed miscarriage baby died at 9+2 and i found out at the dating scan.

No bleeding, not a speckle, no pain at all, nothing. I did have a feeling it wasn't going to work out though.

Relaxing is the best thing you can do for your baby, worrying will solve nothing. I learned this from my mm/c.

I really do think this fear is on everyones mind

I had a Missed Miscarraige at 12wks but baby had actually died at 10+wks
but i started bleeding and cramping thats why i was scanned

iv my 12wk scan next mon and am terrified incase i'm told the same thing
happened again..

all we can do is relax and hope for the best , cus whatever ment to be will be i supose
but hopefully all will be well and we would have been worrying over nothing xx

this was my fear too - I had my scan today (all fine) and last night had awful dreams about mmc. There is really nothing you can do about it but in my mind worrying cannot do anything but make it worse so I try not too (very unsuccessfully I might add)
