what week did you have your dating scan and what could you see?

Ive got my first dating scan booked in on the 4th of sept in week 12.

I was wondering when other people had thiers and what i have to look forward to

Hi i had mine yesterday at what i thought was 11 weeks but they put me forward to 11+3 you could see a lovely profile and easy see it was a well formed baby, baby was waving and jumping around . good luck with your scan its wonderful xx

Mine was at 9+2, I don't know if it was because baby was asleep or because the sonographer kept taking the scanner off and putting it back on every two seconds I didn't see any movement but could quite clearly see the head and the body and the heartbeat. I'll add my scan pic so you can see, but the 12wk scan pics are so much clearer than mine....

I had a private dating scan done at 8+5 and seen the pic thats in my avatar got my nhs scan tommorrow even though i wont be 12 weeks ill be 9+6

My scan was 10w5d on Monday although they had assumed i was already 12w because of the date of my LMP so have another next week so baby is big enough to measure the nuchal fold. Our sonographer pointed out the obvious shapes of head and legs but was also able to show us the umbilical cord and, shock upon shock, asked us if we wanted to know the sex - I said "yes, we think we will", thinking ahead to the anomoly scan at 20 weeks ish and at exactly the same time as my OH said "but not yet" she said "I think it's a boy"! We didn't believe that she could possibly be telling us that early but she said she could 'guarantee' it - her actual word! So, big surprise but I'm not going to obsessively believe it just yet because so early (even though a boy is what I want hee hee

).

You're bound to be nervous but look forward to it too, it's really magical!

Yeah you will see a formed baby hun i had mine at 9+5 looked like a baby but when you look at pics at 11 and 12 weeks they are more baby-like if that makes sence hehe xx

I thought they could do the NT between 10-14 weeks?
I have a dating scan next week and I calculated I'll be 7+6 for that, but if I'm right my NT scan is scheduled for when I'm 10+5.

awww thanks guys.....there are some beautiful scans piccies too!!

I'm really lookin forward to it now. And the best bit is that a couple of days afterwards i'm going to a fmaily BBQ whcih is i think when all the rest of the fmaily will get told and i will have pictures...woooooooooo!!

I had mine yesterday at 11+6 (12 week one though!) It was, without a doubt, the most amazing experience of my life. LO was jumping around and looked lovely and comfy. Just thinking about it now makes me well up. I had a scan at around 9 weeks due to bleeding and whilst there was some movement it was quite hard to make out. Yesterday the profile was obvious as were arms and legs. FANTASTIC!xx
