Hi

I had chronic heartburn from about 5 weeks, and lasted all day, seemd to be my main symptom as I haven't gipped yet!

They say ginger tea, ginger biscuits and dry crackers helps, I used Rennie, they were a godsend and they do say at on the back for pregnancy.

Hope this helps

yes definately sounds like heartburn, i have suffered from it bad. I didn't want to take any sort of medication when pregnant, just encase. so i have found sitting up straight after i've eaten stops the stomach acids from leaking out and also a glass of milk helps to neutralise the acid. xx

Heartburn is the most common symptom of a condition known as gastroesophageal reflux, or acid reflux, or GERD. It usually begins as a burning pain that starts behind the breastbone and radiates upward to the neck. Often there is a sensation of food coming back into the mouth, accompanied by an acid or bitter taste. Heartburn is sometimes called acid indigestion and usually occurs after meals.

I have never heard of heartburn going downwards? x
