Long term complications

Does anyone know if any long term complications can arise after severe morning sickness?

I am worried as come tea time all I have left to bring up is bile and stomach acid and surely that must do something?

I am back at docs tomorrow as I need a new sick note and I want to mention the hardening lump in my stomach.

I don't think that there are too many complications, unless of course this continues for months and you become malnourished. I think that the doctor can give you something to help if you have severe morning sickness, there is a small percentage of women who really suffer. I would make sure you mention your concerns to your doctor, I am sure she/he will be able to give you something to help.

i was like how you are describing from about 6 weeks till just over 12 weeks. i went to my doctor a couple of times about it and i was prescribed anti sickness pills. they did help the vomitting part a bit but not the nausea. they also totally zonked me and i just wanted to lie in bed all day crying (not much use when you have to go to work and look after a very active 11 month old baby boy!!!).

i got signed off work by a lovely female doctor but i have to admit the male doctor i saw wasn't as sympathetic - typical man!!!
