Your dogs shouldnt have any bad effect on baby. Ive got a dog, and she is no problem with either of my kids, really protective. I would try and stop them from sleeping on your bed before baby comes tho.

I've been reading up a lot on preparing a family dog for a new baby. It sounds like, from a lot of the things I've read, that the dog adjusts very well, and recognizes the baby as a member of the family that needs protection too. Kids and dogs often bond very closely as they are growing up, and the dog can be a great companion for the kid.
