I'm Currently Feeling: | Feeling sooo sick Hi all...
Well i guess i want a little advise. These past few days , oh my, i have been so ill and the thought of food makes me sick , i cant eat anything , my hubby tries his best and offers me a range, but i still feel like argh i cant eat it ! but then he says i have to eat fo baby to develop etc, so then if i do eat i eat little bits, and today i can really tell that ive lost weight.
also i keep getting continuos headaces, this in connection with me feeling sick, i cant do anything , and my nose is so sensitive its driving me mad...i have polo mints now and that helps , but im sure i may get sick of that too !
I dont know what to do ... Is there anything I can eat or take to prevent illness and give me more appetite ? I have cravings for nothing ! I just feel awfully ill.
I hope everything is ok | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Drink Drink Drink Drink.
Broth, Water, Juice, protien drinks whatever.
Dehydration causes headaches, nausea, dizzyness, etc. So in other words if you are getting dehydrated, your mroning sickness will be worse.
I just tried as much bland food as I could. Cooked plain carrots, or other vegetables, hot cereal, egg sandwich, mashed pototoes. That way, if it came back up, I didn't make a mess of my esophagus.
You have enough stored body fat to ease you through this early time in pregnancy if you can't eat much. Just remember to hydrate, and try to find something that you can eat but when you do, try not to overeat! That was my biggest problem.
I'd find that cooked carrots were awesome one evening, and I'd pig out... overeat, then I'd get nauseated from being stuffed. My morning noon and night sickness just completely passed about one week ago. Hang in there!
My doc advised that I take a unisom tablet and b6 vitamin to help curb my pregnancy nausea. It helped a little, and did help me sleep at night You could ask your doc about that, or other meds too.
And strong pregnancy symptoms are a sign that everything is progressing very well with plenty of good pregnancy hormones! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My cousin, who is at about 7.5 weeks said she's already lost about 8 lbs. since getting pregnant. She can't keep anything down. But she said the Sea Bands (acupressure wrist bands) helped her some, and she was actually able to get lunch down yesterday. Also, prenatal vitamins make the nausea much worse...try breaking it in half. Or, my OB told me that if I couldn't stomach the prenatal to take regular old flinstones children's vitamins instead. That might make it a little better for you as well!
Good luck! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | i was feeling the same way as you for a long time, all i can say is the doctor has always told me not to worry too much about the baby bec in the 1st tri its needs are not great in terms of food, this helped me feel calmer. even now in the second tri i cant eat too much but things have improved, there are still food i cant go near. all i can say that the others havent is try crackers or cookies, or cereal all of those you can have small bits. its weird but the more you let your tummy go hungry the worse you actually feel.
good luck |

I'm Currently Feeling: | i know i also feel like im fighting myself, i went thru a stage of terrible hunger pains when i didnt even want to go near food. try very neutral things that dont have a smell, even if you can come up with just one or two things you can manage that will make you feel better. have you tried fruit? like apple or grapes? wouldnt go for the acidic ones like oranges that is a whole other book of treats!
if you arent petrified of vomiting like i am, then i would say go for it, if you throw up you throw it up but atleast you can test the theory of making yourself eat something and seeing if despite anything you think it does make u feel better, i know its easier said than done, but it worked for me. |
