First of all I am new here. I look forward to meeting everyone! =) I just wanted to say Merry Christmas, and I hope everyone is having as good a Christmas as we are having!! We found out last night that we are PREGNANT with our first child.

We could not be more happy!!!

I have my first question as well...What pregnancy books would you all recommend?

Congrats on your Christmas Eve BFP

Congrats! The one I would *highly* recommend is The Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy. We also got The Pregnancy Countdown Book. Both on Amazon. The Mayo clinic book is a wonderful reference for throughout pregnancy with a good explanation of symptoms, fetal development, and will answer almost any question you have. The pregnancy countdown book is a fun little book that has one page for each day of your pregnancy. It was written kind of like of "girlfriend's guide" kind of book. It's not heavy medical stuff, but more practical advice about dealing with morning sickness, fatigue, and other common symptoms...bite-sized tidbits of info and wisdom collected from other moms and written with an OB for the doctor's perspective as well. Also, while I don't have it, I've heard that The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy is really good as well :-)

i have "what to expect when expecting" which goes month by month and " the girlfriends guide to pregnancy" which is a humorous one not too much developmental info but really funny. and i have "pregnancy week by week" that one is really cool because you can see the babies development week by week.
two of them are borrowed- i didnt go out and buy all of them.
