| 3 hours in A&E today, emergency scan tomorrow - UPDATED WITH PIC OF MY BEAN!!! Hi ladies,
I've had such a trying day today. Everything seemed to be going great with the pregnancy - no morning sickness, just ever growing boobs - until this morning.
I went to the toilet at work and noticed spots of bright red blood on the bowl afterwards. I immediately called my midwife who said I should go to A&E straight away to get checked out.
The hospital were brilliant, and I got seen to within 10 mins, even though there was a packed waiting room. I had a good chat with the doctor, who although said obviously this could be the start of a MC, also said because there wasn't a lot of blood (even though it was bright red) and as I'd had no pains that I shouldn't worry. I had my blood pressure taken, did a urine sample and they took some bloods which I'll get the results from tomorrow. They tried to book me in for a scan today but couldn't so I'm back there at 3pm tomorrow.
I'm really trying to remain positive, especially after speaking to my Mum and a friend who said they bled like this and their babies were fine, and after what the doctor said, but its really hard. Hubby is being great and being the eternal optimist keeps reminding me we could be seeing our bean waving back to us tomorrow.
I'm so scared and nervous and my head is all over the place at the moment. Have any of you ladies had similar experience?

| Good luck with your scan tomorrow. No cramping/pain is a great sign. I had a huge bleed at about 7/8 wks and everything was fine with bean. Rest lots tonight, keep your feet up and drink plenty of water, it helps stop any uterus contractions and may help settle any possible spotting. | | | | Status: Online

| I had some bright red spotting a few weeks back. When i went to the doctor two days later everything was just fine. Baby had a strong heartbeat and they could not find any reason for the spotting. Hope everything works out well for you as well. Good luck tomorrow. | | | | Status: Offline
