Definitely try to chill... I know where you are coming from (had an MC at 5.5 weeks back in March), but you have to hang in there and try to relax (otherwise it will be a LOOOOONG 9 months or 21+ years ).

At the end of the day what will happen will happen and - beyond being sensible (smoking/alcohol/food/heavy lifting etc) - there is nothing that we can do. So we have to get on with life and try to enjoy it as much as possible. Worrying will not chance the outcome, just make us feel rubbish (and most probably without jusy cause). This is what both my MW and Gynae Consultant have said. Plus I think (personal theory here) that stressy pregnancy is more likely to equal stressy baby at the end of it: and we ALL want relaxed, mellow babies who sleep through the night, don't we...

BUT - all that said - this is the place to come and air your worries... lots of people to listen, advise, reassure and support you

Definitely hang in there

QT

Thanks so much! I knew you guys would calm me down lol!!

Am just pretty shocked at how I even feel about it all, I never expected to feel so strongly about everything this early on!!

I will keep you posted on my scan tomorrow!!! Hopefully we will see something and find out exactly how many weeks I am!

Aww hun those numbers are just fine normal time for numbers doubling is 48-72hrs so thats just fine. everyone is different but with number like that your just fine..

Worked out your doubling time 66hrs which is perfectly fine hun...

Also when u start to get near the 4000k-5000k they also slow down in doubling... they peak at 12 weeks then drop down...

Also with those numbers i get you @ 5+5 give or take a day??

Your going to be fine hope this helps hun xxx

This is my first too hun and to be honest I am not even sure how far along I am but am guessing about 5 weeks?

No period since 1st April as I said, so they think I have miscarried as there is another blob beside the sac which could be another sac but most likely a blood clot from a previous miscarry. There was no heartbeat and it only measured 5mm so very early on for me. The Clearblue digital put me at 5 weeks so this is all I have had to go on really.

I went to my GP on Monday and she arranged a scan for me due to the whole period issue and positive tests. I basically could have been 12 weeks, 8 weeks or 4 weeks which is why they sent me up to the hospital!

This is when I also got my blood tests done. I have asked previously to get them when I got positives in May but was told no!! They also said it isnt standard practice to get bloods unless they think there is a problem so I am sure you are fine hun xx

OMG thanks so much for this information!!! You guys are fab and have really put my mind at ease!!

Am quite excited for tomorrow now rather than nervous - I wonder if I would see a heartbeat yet?

My sis has just called again to talk about baby names - we are ridiculous! we have word docs set up with all our favs and call each other every day to compare them lol. It'll be my mum and dads first grandchild so they will be ecstatic - havent told them yet!! Am hoping to get a scan pic before I tell them. They have been dying for me to have one for years and I was never interested until the past year or two but didn't tell anyone we were trying to conceieve so will be a HUGH shock!
