telling the in laws.

when i was expecting Joshua we told them on christmas eve and we got a card from moonpig.com and it has a little poem in it and my due date.

this time we are not getting a card and was planning on telling them over the weekend.

do you think its ok just to tell them and not do the card thing?

how do you tell them?

ooh im really looking forward to telling them but the MIL is a nightmare.

when i was pregnant with Joshua she wouldnt let me do anything, the washing up putting washing on the line and so on.

thats the only thing im not looking forward to.

ooooooh good luck mrs N. i remember your posts last summer about the MIL being a nightmare!!!

just tell them how you want to tell them. i am sure they are going to be delighted and won't care how they have they have been told.

however,

do you want to send your MIL round to mine cos i would LOVE someone to hang out me washing, hoover, cook food

my SIL is like that, i just left her to get on with it!!!!

I will be telling my MiL this weekend too (as long as first scan goes well tomorrow). She is going to take over and give us all sorts of weird advice I know. But she lives abroad!!!! So I am safe!!!

Heehee. I remember too. You were dreading them arriving and wanted Joshua to hurry up and arrive before they did! Congrats. He's a gorgeous little boy! Can't believe we're in First Tri again together!

I'd just tell them tbh. We told both our sets of parents last night, but I think that's cos we were in so much shock! Good luck!

When we told the in-laws OH gave them the scan picture to look at and said "here's a picture of your first Grandchild". I think it's fine to just tell them, they will be pleased and surprised however you tell them

I told my MIL to be
1st time when i was 13wks preg she was soo happy

with my last two that ended in M/C
i told her as soon as i found out

and this time round they all suspecting it i think at the min
but they not letting on, but i am NOT going to break the news until i
scan at about 16-20wks if i can help it

i am almost 8 week and showing already iv another scan now in 4weeks
all going well, so if i keep getting bigger i may have to break the news sooner
than expected after the 12wk scan if i get the all clear..

i wil just be handing her a photo and saying '' this is going to be our new addition''

shes Going to be DELIGHTED because my fiance is such a mammys boy, she'll be so happy..but what id really love is when i have the scan where they can sex the baby
do go down to her house and show her pic and introduce ''baby____boy/girl'' to her

fingers crossed x

well we told them yesterday and they seem happy but the first thing his mum said was 'ooh i thought you of waited for another 6 months' then the next thing she said was 'i knew it,just knew it.'

how did she know it?

no one knew that we were TTC.
