I try to keep in mind being afraid is the last feeling you want to have. I try to envision myself having an empowering and joyful childbirth experience instead of ones like in the movies.
Thanks for all your experiences. im trying to tell myself exactly the samething it wont be so bad ! thats what pain meds are for and i intend to have them ! LOL
And it also help to be able to have people in the same boat as you ! I think anyhow
I'm starting to worry about it now. I'm more worried about having a big baby and tearing or needing to be cut. I am also worried because some people have told me that they had complications with their epidural, so I'm confused on what meds I want.
There's nothing we can do about it now , so no point worrying too much, of course i dont want to be in pain but nothing much i can do about it now except say bring on the pain relief!

with my first, i got to the point where i was so scared and het up about it that i gave myself panic attacks lol, and in the end, it wasnt anything to get worried over. It's painful, no one's denying that, but then again, it's what you have to go through to get that beautiful bundle at the end. With all the pain relief there is out there, and the support of family or/and friends during the labour, it's really not that bad. Just try not to think about it lol.
I feel the same way.. it hit me today when I was looking at cribs. I have a teenager but I don't remember what it felt like - I know the first time was not bad. I was sitting here wondering if I'm the only one - thank God for this site!
