How much Notice For Your Scan

I'm 12 weeks this Sunday, over here they give you a dating scan at around 12 weeks (or a few days over) but I still havn't recieved a letter with a date for my scan.

Phoned the MW this morning, they told me to phone antenatal deparment of hospital, phoned them and explained everything again, they told me to contact my GP.

I gave up with that, for one thing, our health centre won't just put you through to talk to your GP, you have to make an appointment and that could be a while.

Maybe a letter will come next week, but I was wondering how much notice the rest of the girlies on here got before their scan? A few days notice doesn't seem right. My OH works alot of hours and would need to give his boss reasonable notice for booking time off.

I got my letter through 4 days after seeing the midwife for booking in and it was for three and a half weeks time. xxx

last time i was preg! i got my letter through about 4 days after seeing the midwife to i was about 8 weeks so i had a good few weeks notice! xx

I had loads of trouble with mine, I rang the midwife and she sorted it all out. Got a scan appointment with 1 week notice, but had to rearrange.. then got 4 weeks notice of the new appointment
Maybe talk to your midwife again? Gp just makes an appointment through the choose and book system. Mine didn't work as for some reason the hospital lost the notification from the midwife

Hmmm, I think they have forgotten about me!

I should ring the MW again in the morning then?

Yea I would ring again hun, and just tell her that everyone is saying ring some one else.

All of my pregnancies I have been give three or so weeks notice.

I actually think the MW is there until 5, might give them a try...

Yea I would otherwise you have to wait til after the weekend.

No answer, they must be closed. Ah well, guess I will have to wait until Monday morning.

I just hope they are able to fit me in some time next week if they have forgot/letter has been lost in post, whichever.

I was getting worried as I hadn't heard anything about my scan either. I phond my GP and they said they had sent a letter. They told me to phone the ultrasound department who said they had not received a letter. I had to phone my GP back and get them to send another letter. I would def call your gp and midwife - I think you should have heard by now. Good luck
