Honestly, this is my 4th pregnancy, and I eat what I want, when I want. Im not worried at all. My Mom ate whatever she wanted and had 3 wonderful, healthy kids. I eat tuna, not a lot, but If I want a cold cut sandwich, I get it. I eat feta cheese on my salads, as a matter of fact, I crave it. Im not worried about it at all.. Just my opinion!

I cant believe that since I've been pregnant I think I've eaten just about everything that you're not meant to. Even oysters, red wine, soft cheeses... things I dont always eat. Just my luck! Then found out I was pregnant, and think This is one tough bean!!!

I think the risk of listeria is a very serious one, and wouldn't want to risk any problems so I will be staying clear of most risky things now... but I also believe if you are careful you shouldnt need to alter your diet and habits too much.

Plenty of healthy babies arrive even when mums arent aware of such risks.

If you went by the book.. you would hardly eat anything lol... with my first pregnancy i ate ice cream ( was one of my cravings ).... cheese... mostly everything apart from fish..and she was heathly.. i can see this being your first pregnancy you will worry.. i was'nt told any of this with my first.. my mw at the time was'nt that good so it seems

longs you eat things in moderation then everything should be fine :0)

I'm just being careful, not obsessive. I love tuna so will still be having it within guidelines. My lovely husband also got me some lovely Ame to replace my Saturday wine - yummy!!

I put anything I want on it really. As long as the meat is fresh and has been refridgerated and the mayo is pasteurized (which in Canada it almost always is) I'll eat it. Pregnant women aren't anymore at risk of listeria or salmonella than anyone else (I think). My doctor is very reasonable and I'm glad, because I like turkey sandwiches with lots of veggies and some mayo right now...and really what a nice healthy satisfying pregnancy craving!
