Some can see it as early as 6 weeks BUT some not til MUCH later. If you have a scan before 9/10 weeks and dont see a heartbeat you shouldnt be worried.

In some cases you can see it from week 6, but to save yourself unecessary worry, I would book a scan at week 8.

Some women think they are 6 weeks when in reality they are much less, and they go for an ultrasound too early and the only thing visible is just a pregnancy sac. Big mistake and big worry.

Between week 7-8 you will definatelly be able to see the fetal pole, yolk and HB

Congratulations x

I saw mine at 6.5 weeks. (Emergency Scan at Hospital.)

But let me tell you... You're always going to want to see the heartbeat at each appointment. LOL no matter how many times you see it.

ooooo im sorry to say but thats not quite right, if thier in no heartbeat by 7wks and ur sure of your dates and the sac is meauring correctly then this is not at all normal, you should in all healthy pregnanies see a beating heart by 7wks. Sorry dont wanna jump in just you have to be carful what your saying.

The heart starts to beat between 5wks and 6+3wks, if u were to be booked for a reasurance scan then i would say 7wks is a good time to go, they will do a TV scan and you should see a heartbeat.

IF you were to go at say 6wks you might not see it, so then they;d re-book you to come back a week later and compare measurments.

Thier are hundreds of people who go along when they think they are 7-8wks then when they get thier and thier baby is measured they are 5-6wks and their sno heartbeat, nothings is wrong in 90%+ of these cases you were just out on your dates, what they look for in this case is a nice round sac and a yolk inside it after 6wks. Also the fetal pole.

So yeh 7wks all will be fine by then and you'll see a lvoely beating heart. This is my 11th pregnancy adn ive been scanned from 5-6wks in every pregnancy as im super high risk, i also listen in with my doppler from 8wks thou this time i found it at 7+5 xxxxxx

the reason I say not to worry is because there are many many cases where angles etc have been wrong and people have been told they have miscarried and at a recheck found a heartbeat. I personally know someone who had a scan at 9 weeks, no hb found but baby measuring right. Went back for scan at 10 weeks and HB found.
What I was saying was there is no need to give yourself a heart attack if you dont SEE the heartbeat at 6 or 7 weeks. There are many cases where heartbeats have been missed even when measuring correctly.

I have heard some girls see the heart beat at about 5 1/5 to 6 weeks & others don't see it until about 11 weeks , so you shouldn't be worried,

I hope you have a very happy & healthy nine months & beyond
