They're fine to eat im sure, pasteurised etc. Why are you worried?

I've had a fair few this pregnancy.

I've never had anything bad from a McDonalds (food poisoning etc) *touch wood* but I would think that being such a big name, they're going to have high standards!?

I had a milkshake from there and I felt bad too I had a ham roll today too. My logic was that sooooo much goes through those machines any nasty germs will have gone into someone elses milkshake lol.

I worked at Burger King back in my high school days, and the milkshake/ice cream machines were dissembled and sanitized every night plus fresh mix was used every day. I would guess McDonald's is similar.

i've been craving a Daim and caramel McFlurry for weeks and have avoided cos of being scared of the taps not being clean on the machines. think I'm gonna chance it tho and have one. I honestly don't think it could be that dangerous - the risk of listeria is really very small.

I'd not stress about having had one if I were you.

You aren't supposed to eat them hun (I checked) it's the same with Mr whippy.

My midwife told me that Mr Whippy is made from liquid milk and various other stuff and the chiller unit freezes it and churns it. At the end of the day the chiller machine is turned off and the ice cream goes back to being liquid milk and then the process starts again.

With the constant freezing and thawing of the liquid it is the perfect breeding ground for bacteria.

I presume that McFluffy would be the same.
