I was told my midwife not to have Mr Whippy ice creams and McFlurrys. I was told that as unpasterised (sic) milk was used on both occasions which may contain the bacteria listeria. This can cause miscarriage as it can pass though the placenta and cause an infection or blood poisoning. So I'm avoiding both like the plague...it is proving to be very difficult especially in the recent weather but I guess I can always enjoy it next summer with my LO in laps.
