First Scan July 8th

I am quite excited for my first scan!! I received a letter yesterday with the scan/appointment date .... July 8th at 3:30pm (my time). Can anyone tell me what to expect?!!!?

Its so exciting! Are you going to a OB/midewife? I can only tell you on a OB since that is what I choose, lol.

You will fill out paper work in the lobby then when the nurse calls you, she will weigh you and have you pee in a cup (it has a tester stick in it) once of the things it test for is protine. Then the nurse will go over your medical history and the OB pretty much does the same when she come in, at this stage she doesn't measure your belly but you may get a vagina guilded ultrasound and you get to see your baby WOOT and get pictures! I'm not sure what country your in so it may differ where your at. Sometimes they give you free things like a diaper bag and formula and lots of pamblets. They also may send you down to the lab when your done to get blood drawn and thats about it, you make your next appt for the following month.

Its going to go by so FAST! It feels like yesterday when I was 8 weeks pregnant and now I'm 18 weeks pregnant. Enjoy your first trimester hon.

Well it is booked through the hospital here, so I am assuming it is with the OB. We are in Canada. I have had bloods done, and got a

from those, but still cannot manage a

with urine.

The letter says the following exams will be performed: W US Pelvis & Transvaginal . I am getting so nervous about what to expect lol. And DH I hope is joking with me, as he keeps saying he won't come

I hope he is joking.
