I have my first OB appointment today...I think they'll be doing an 8 week scan, plus all the basic blood work and other stuff. I'm both really nervous and really excited at the same time! I'm far enough along that I should be able to see the heart beat!

So, the appointment went really well. We got to see the baby's heartbeat just beating away!! It was so wonderful!

My due date got pushed back a week, but I was expecting that given that I tend to have a long cycle. So now, my little 1.37cm peanut means i'm 7w5d today, instead of the 8w4d based on my initial calculations. But, I'm not too upset about that, I'm just happy I got to see the little one with a healthy heart!

Somehow, just seeing that strong heartbeat has reassured me quite a bit. It feels very real now!
