wot is chemical pregnancy???

I got my

on fathers day im 5 wks tomorrow, ive read about chemical pregnancies on here but dont know wot it is, would i know if i was having a chemical pregnancy by now?? i havent had any beeding or anything so i dont really know wot to look out for...any advice??

Chemical pregnancy usually refers to when a woman has a faint positive on HPT, but then proceeds to start bleeding around the time her period would have arrived or slightly later. Usually it is a case of the woman has tested early, due to TTC and sees a faint positive but the pregnancy doesn't continue to develop. To a woman who hadn't tested early it would seem like a slightly heavier, possibly late period and she probably would never know she'd been pregnant.

It is essentially a very early miscarriage. Still highly upsetting for those who have one and were aware of the pregnancy.
