Please tell me your experiences of bleeding and it working out ok

I could do with a little bit of positivity to keep me going at the moment.

Yesterday evening I started spotting very very lightly - kind of watery pinkish brown and occasionally some brown tinged mucous. I completely freaked out at first, thinking I was about to miscarry. I calmed down a bit and phoned my GP and he said to wait it out unless it got heavier and/or I got pain. He just phoned me to check how I was doing - luckily it seems to have stopped this morning - and is going to refer me to the EPU to have everything checked out. I feel like I'm back on the bandwagon. I had a missed miscarriage at the end of Dec/beginning of Jan and the 2 weeks waiting period between my first scan and final diagnosis was hell. I am not relishing the thought of going through that again. Assuming nothing else happens, I really don't think I want to be scanned this early - I'd rather wait a week or two. :sigh: I suppose we'll go along and see what they say. Waiting for a phonecall with an appointment now.

As the bleeding seems to have stopped, I'm trying to be positive for now. I know lots of women bleed in early pregnancy and everything turns out fine. Please tell me that this isn't necessarily the end for this pregnancy.

I bled two weeks ago once tuesday morning and once again tuesday evening. The morning was brown but the evening was dark red. It wasnt enough to show on a pad but was very frightening. I had an early scan three days later at 6+3 and they found two babies and two heartbeats. No words will help as I know how I felt but I havent bled since (touching all wood and thanking god) and all seems to be well so far.

Hi

I posted this yesterday - Bleeding, quick trip to EPAC, ok though (phew!)

I also had a MC (at 5.5 weeks) in March. So, like you, ANY sight of blood was devastating.

I would say "hang in there"

Fingers well and trult crossedfor you

QT

I had brown at aroud 5 weeks, very heavy red bleed at 7+9ish weeks, I mean so heavy it poured through a pad and my trousers!another red one at 13 weeks, very very heavy again, clots, mildish cramps....baby is fine and kicking around nicely
I have a blood clot in my womb so thats what has caused bleeding for me.
many many women experience bleeding through pregnancy and continue to have healthy babies,it doesnt always mean the worse sweetie,so rest and have lots of PMA!
good luck!

it could be implantation bleeding if you are 5 weeks maybe you have implanted a little later, unless you have period pains which are more severe than normal and definite red blood with or without clots then just keep an eye on the situation any pain please go straight to the emergency room because it cuold be somethign serious. keep us updated. hugs

Thanks, Zoe. I had what I guess was implantation bleeding (bloody mucous) shortly before my period was due, and I wasn't concerned, but because I was actually actively bleeding this time it freaked me out. I've just been reading up on ectopics, and apparently there's not necessarily pain, so I suppose I should really be scanned to rule that out. Grrrrr.

SCH? Sorry, I haven't a clue what that means, and couldn't seem to find the group. I was looking in the buddies section, is that right place? Being a bit dim.

I was probably unclear, I'm waiting for an appointment with the EPU, not the GP. The GP's sorting it out, so I should get a phonecall from the surgery at some point today letting me know when to go.

no its not in the buddies section,if you go onto the overall b+b homepage and scroll down theres a section called b+b groups you click on there then scroll down its called SCH(subchronic hematoma) its not really important that you read it but just thought it would give you some hope as all ladies on there have expereinced bleeding in one variation or another.

Hope you hear back from EPU soon.
let us know how you get on.
good luck!
