I will reread list and think but you missed off a VITAL thing...Muslin cloths!!!! You must have MANY MANY muslin cloths, they are simply a must have. I would rather go without anything else and keep my muslin cloths!
I also reckon you are going to need more than two cellular blankets when you get down to it, you do usually end up doing a wash a day if you have a baby who drools or is sick a fair bit (like most!) and they arent always adverse to making a right mess of thier blankets either with sick, drool or leaky nappies.

I don't even know what some of those things are! Off the top of my head, all the Mums I know have used muslin squares, and I don't see those on your list.

Oh and honestly if you arent dead set some things arent really required, like top and tail bowl. If you are like me you have a million plastic boxes you use for food, two of these can be converted to top and tail bowls and thats free...plus you dont have the 'clutter'.
Personally I always found a cot top changing mat much easier/better to use than aone set ontop of a chest of drawers, reason being is you have baby pointed straight at you instead of sideways...just makes life easier. If you wanted advise on that I would say to buy a normal chest of drawers and the cot top changer.
Im still thinking, been 5 years since Ive done this so the memory is a touch rusty!

oh, sorry....Ill get there eventually....I bought myself an expensive nursing rocker with footstool and ended up getting rid, it was too narrow and you couldnt 'sit back' in it properly. I was really dissapointed. I ended up getting a comfy armchair with inbuilt foot rest and found it cheaper, comfier and less cluttering as there was no permenant footstool to get in the way.

I only bought about half of your list and saved loads of money. Maybe buy somethings later when you see what you need. Some of the things I did not have were : baby bath, top and tail bowl, quilt, hospital bag ( used bag already had), swing, feeding chair, nappy stacker, bumper, gro bag egg thermometer ( monitor should tell you temp), sun blinds. Hope this helps

I'm with purplegirl, buy the essentials noodles! As long as baby has somewhere to sleep and you have feeding equipment etc you can buy things as you go along! I bought a travel cot and it got used twice for lottie to play in in the day but she hated it and would never sleep in it, we put the moses basket in the cot for the first few month and she was too tiny for her bouncy chair for ages!
I would say the swing is invaluable though, thats the only thing (apart from pram/carseat) that i'm buying as i still have moses basket! People will want to buy you lots too! Also baby wont be interested in toys for the first few months so save your pennies! :-) xx

Thank girls, we have got a lot of it from friends of the family and off ebay so we wouldn't have had most of those thing otherwise.
