Dealing with your boss

Okay, so I don't know how off/on subject this may be- but maybe I just need advice.

I work for somebody who is, how shall I put this delicately...a very lazy moron. When I am not pregnant, it is easy to bite my tongue when she says condescending/stupid things but I find with all my hormones RAGING, I rather want to bite her head off!

At least she is only in office about 2 hours a week (she's a figurehead type owner of the company, who doesn't really know what's going on).

It's just driving me batty. She has somebody come in to do her nails, so half the time when she's blathering on at me, she's got her mouth STUFFED with food and a woman doing her nails. I get the combined pleasure of watching her food roll around in her mouth, and smell the polish...It makes me shake with anger

Part of my job is normally telling her she's wrong and doesn't understand what she's talking about in such a way that I am still correcting her misinformation (so as to avoid her expensive mistakes), but allowing her to feel that she is still 'smarter' than everybody else and not actually 'out to lunch'. I am good at this job normally, but right now I feel like I just want to scream:

YOU'RE A MORON and CHEW WITH YOUR MOUTH SHUT YOU IGNORANT PIG!

Okay...done now. phew.

Oh, wow, how can you put up with someone like that? I'd pull my hair out!! I agree with Kittee, just try to ignore/avoid her as much as possible. Does she eat/get her nails done WHILE you're meeting with her? Maybe you can just avoid her at least while that's going on....not sure how to help the fact that she's a moron....

Good grief she sounds like a right cow! What do you do for a job? (unless I'm being too nosey)

yes that's correct, she likes to schedule all three at once- presumably to let me know how far down the ladder SHE considers me...lol

I do corporate research, she's just basically one of these very rich people who comes from 'old money' so she owns the company, she just doesn't know anything about it...to the point that she embarasses herself in corporate meetings...

I think I'm just finding it way harder because I'm SO sensitive and over-emotional...

She'll probably have a melt down when you are on maternity leave.
