Should I call the doctors?

Try not to laugh too much at the stupiness that is me.

I had a tiny (1-2mm) wart on my back of my hand and as i didn't want it to get bigger (and therefore harder to treat) so I decided to use the Wartner that we had in our cupboard. As it's a frezzing style treatment I didn't check if it was safe to use during pregnancy and just used it. I've now noticed that it says in big capital letters 'NOT SUITABLE FOR USE DURING PREGNANCY OR BREASTFEEDING'. Ooops!

The prob is as the wart was so tiny the freezing liquid touched a bit of my skin and now it has reacted (see photo) and it feels itchy.

Should I call the doc or will that be wasting his time now that I have done it?

I'd call the doctor's surgery and speak with the nurse. She can advise you if you need to do anything. Should all be fine though hon xxx

i wouldnt worry about it, most products say that just because they havent been tested for use in pregnancy, i cant see is causing any problems as it is a topical treatment.

the surrounding healthy skin has just been affected and should heal ok, just keep an eye on it if it gets worse then maybe go to the doctors.

I'd call and found out - better to be safe than sorry.

I did call and the GP laughed at me! She told me not to worry a most medicines and treatments say that it's not safe for use during pregnancy as they haven't been tested on pregnant women. I can't see there being very many pregnant women out there that would be a test dummy for drugs. I do have a rather impressive looking freeze burn on my hand (the white bit in the middle is now bright red) so instead of hiding the wart I've now got a huge circle pointing it out! I can be quite stupid at times!
