Ouch worried about sizes!!!

I'm worrying already about giving birth, I'm only 4'11" but OH is 6' 4" and weighed over 10lbs when he was born. I'm praying this baby isn't like him, I'll never get it out!!! Can they get stuck!!

10lb plus babies run in my family and my OH is over 6ft too, not looking forward to the birth myself too much! LOL

My sister did however have her baby with no drugs and had no stitches, and he was 10lb 4, so it can be done easily sometimes!!

No point worrying!

A friend of a friend was really worried because her husband is a big guy, and he (and his 9-10 brothers and sisters) were all 10lb+ babies. Turned out, she had a nice, normal sized 7-8lb baby. I'm not sure how much of that is genetic, but hopefully you'll be ok!

we can have epidurals, and they can surgically "enlarge" you (whats the word...epis..something) as opposed to let you tear if necessary.

Really, dont worry, you'll be just fine. When I get panicy (mostly when I'm tired) i remember - women have been doing this for years, it'll be fine....and i can have an epidural!!!

True tinytoes. I think I still ahve moments where I think I'm the only person ever to go through this! And if the baby is as big as Mark, then it'll be too late by then and I'll have to get on with it!!

hahah this is how I look at it - once things get underway I'll just HAVE to deal with it!! I'm thinking it'll be bad, but alsoa bit surreal and people say it was the ebst day of their lives!....(thats looking at it retrospectively I'm sure!!..)

Remember, if we get into a sheer panic a few days befoer we can make a big fuss and demand a C section...but really , we'll manage....we'll have to! I'll be fine. A few mins of horror and then we'll have a little angel!

\I watched a programme on Living TV this morning and it was basically just wpmen giving birth and there was a woman on there who looked like she just squeezed a bit and it popped out. mY conclusion....its a doddle!! She had make up on and I thought at the beginning how bad she'd look at the end, but not a smudge of mascara, not a bead of sweat. I wonder if my labour could be editted like that

My mum is 4'11 and I was 10lb and 3/4 of an ounce. She had to have a c-section but everything was fine

They will keep an eye on the size of you through out your pregnancy any ways.

My midwife keeps telling me that nature is usually kind and produces a baby that our bodys can manage.

But if you are shown to have a large baby then they will discuss options with you later through your pregnancy.
