I'm Currently Feeling: | 1st Appointment Hello all. Monday I had my 1st appointment, I learned that I am 9weeks and due July 15th. (Yay...). The doctor just examined me briefly and talked to me about a few things. He said at our next appointment that we will get to hear the heart beat (Jan. 7th), then he said that we wouldn't get a sonogram until 20 weeks (WTF???). I know girls who had sonograms well before that. Is this normal? I just want to hear the baby or see he/she. Other than that, he said that everything seemed to be okay. Just wanted to share the news. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I am glad your appointment went well hun.......over here there are many places that do not scan until 20 weeks, so it is normal over here depending on your area. x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My midwife is the same way, she won't schedule my scan until after 24 weeks. She said that if I am not having problems, then there is no need for one. Well I didn't agree, so I rang up planned parenthood, and they do dating scans when ever. You just have to show up. I had one at 11 weeks, and it cost me $90. If you have a planned parenthood in your area, give them a call. It made me feel so much better seeing my little one! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I went to school with a girl who works in a hospital doing sonograms, so I'm hoping she will do one for me. She did it for some of my friends. (I'm crossing my fingers). My husband and I just want to see the little one so we have proof (you know what I mean, lol!!!). We are just really anxious like anyone else would be. |
